Welcome to Sorentis ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service outline the rules, rights, and obligations governing the use of our website (sorentis.com.au) and engagement with our technical consulting services.
Client Engagement Note: While these general terms govern website browsing and exploratory enquiries, all custom software development, cloud architecture, and automation engagements are governed by an individual Master Services Agreement (MSA) or Statement of Work (SOW) executed prior to project commencement.
1. Website Access & Acceptable Use
By accessing sorentis.com.au, you agree to comply with these terms, all applicable Australian laws, and standard internet protocols.
You agree not to attempt unauthorised access to our systems, reverse-engineer proprietary assets, or deploy automated scrapers, denial-of-service vectors, or malicious code against our infrastructure.
2. Intellectual Property Rights
All materials, visual design elements, interactive demonstrations, trademarks, and branding displayed on this website are the proprietary property of Sorentis and/or its licensors, protected under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
Unless explicitly agreed in writing or defined within an active SOW, nothing on this site transfers any intellectual property rights to visitors.
3. Consulting & Delivery Scope
When entering into a technical consultancy agreement with Sorentis:
- Project scopes, milestones, delivery timelines, and acceptance criteria are formally specified in a written Statement of Work
- Client-owned source code, IP ownership, and licensing rights are transferred upon full settlement of project milestone fees as agreed
- Both parties remain bound by mutual non-disclosure and strict confidentiality regarding trade secrets and business logic
4. Australian Consumer Law & Guarantees
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (Australian Consumer Law).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, website content and informational resources are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Sorentis excludes liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from reliance on general web content.
5. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia and the State of Victoria / Western Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with website use or services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.
